Coeliacs

 

At Burnie's we understand how serious coeliac diesease is and how hard it is to adhere to a strict gluten free diet when dining out.

So the owners of Burnie's have developed a menu that is primarily gluten free.

 

ALL ITEMS MARKED (GF) ON OUR MENU ARE GLUTEN FREE SO NO NEED TO ASK IF IT CONTAINS GLUTEN OR IF IT'S GLUTEN FREE

COELIAC POLICY
We do not use any wheat flour or barley to thicken,coat,bind any of our menu items

We use a completley seperate toaster for Gluten free toast & Gluten free breads

Our Gluten free bread has been sorced from a Gluten Free Bakery

We use seperate condiments and sauces for Coeliacs so as to minimise cross contamination 

The deep fryers at Burnies are totally gluten free as is any menu item used in them is Gluten Free

If any menu item is crumbed be assured its crumbed in Gluten free crumbs made in house and floured in Gluten free flour

All condiments, gelato, stocks, cocoa powder, are Gluten Free​​

All milkshake syrups are made in house and are Gluten Free

 

As not everybody is a coeliac so there is a element of gluten in our kitchen namely wheat based bread (sour dough) this is prepared and toasted in a separate toaster away from our Gluten free toaster. 
So in order to assist us and to ensure there is no cross contamination when you are dining with us
Please inform staff that you are a coeliac who will note it on your order and this will assist our chefs in preparing your meal. 

 

FAUX COELIACS

 If you have just "self diagnosed" yourself with the help of DR Google or from a friend who's dieting (gf style") or thinks they may be intolerant or that you have seen all these gluten free products and think that it must be healthier. 

We do strongly suggest that you get checked by your Doctor/GP as gluten may not be your problem.

Weight Loss and the Gluten free diet if you think you going to loose all your weight by going on gluten free diet... (your not)
